They prioritized factors such as avoiding artificial sweeteners, using natural alternatives like Stevia, eliminating artificial colors, and maintaining moderate caffeine levels. With a strong foundation in providing top-quality products, EBOOST has rapidly emerged as a leader in the sports nutrition industry.
One key focus of EBOOST's rapid growth strategy was centered around introducing a subscription model, a key component in fostering lasting connections with their customers while maximizing customer value and loyalty.
We had the opportunity to speak with Domenick Scherpf, EBOOST's Ecommerce Manager, to delve into why the company firmly believes in the power of subscriptions to expand their business.
Challenges with Recharge: Outdated and Limiting
Recharge, EBOOST's legacy partner, had become outdated and cumbersome in meeting the brand's evolving needs. Dom, having previously worked with Recharge and observed its limitations, found the system to be sluggish, disorganized, and lacking in innovation. Recharge's primary focus appeared to be their large book of business, rather than prioritizing core benefits and continuous improvement. EBOOST faced challenges in:
- Obtaining timely support, not being able to get on the phone to get solutions to problems
- Accessing accurate and easily understandable data, hindering their ability to make informed decisions. Basics such as understanding the number of subscribers was a struggle, and similar basic data issues persisted throughout the product.
“They [ReCharge ] were more focused on scaling, getting as many customers as possible versus just focusing on the core benefits, which Prive has done really well. The team and I both agreed going from Recharge to Prive, design was the first thing that hit us. Prive has this new Apple, 2023 feel. And that extended to the rest of the features, throughout the product.”

Dom, in his search for a more advanced e-commerce solution, connected with Prive, drawn to their modern approach and advanced features. It absolutely has to be seamless, and that's the top priority. With Prive, that's what we had. As a small company with around 10 to 12 people, I wear many hats, so time is not on my side. Having all the necessary resources to get on a call, spend 30 minutes, and be done is a significant advantage for us.”
